The Pit--A Challenge With A Giveaway Attached

Here it is--The Pit! Well ok, so actually it's my sewing room, but it looks like a pig pen. Does your sewing room ever get to this point? I haven't been very creative for quite sometime and can't seem to get with the program and when I do sew you'd think I didn't have a clue what I was doing and I've sewn all my life! I must need a major recharging is all I can figure.

So my goal for this week it to get this place cleaned up and whipped back into shape and we'll see if that helps with the wanting to create again or not. Who knows what wonders or treasures I might find as I clean it all up. Maybe it will be more of an adventure than a job. Well I can dream can't I. LOL!

If you have a pit or sewing room/work studio whatever you call yours and it's in dire need of a good cleaning up I Double Dog Dare ya to post pics on your blog, so we can all see too and so I won't feel so bad. LOL!

Now for the Giveaway part!

Enter and Win a Handmade Pincushion by me

(no picture available due to my messy room and it won't be made til after this Friday when I have The Pit cleaned up)

Now til Monday June 9th

Take a picture of your sewing/crafting/workroom area--HOWEVER it MUST BE A MESS! Post the picture on your blog and then add your name and blog link to the Mr. Linky below.
All you have to do is post the messy pictures. We won't make you clean it up. You have until next Monday the 9th to get the courage up. Then on Tuesday June 10th I'll post a poll and we'll let the readers of Blogland choose their favorite messy sewing/crafting/workroom area. The polls will be open through Friday June 13th and the winner will be announced on Saturday June 14th.

I can't even get in my room! I can't create either. Well, maybe not true because I drag my stuff out into the kitchen and leave the pit. Maybe we are too full! Maybe we should get rid of some stuff. Like things that no longer serve us. I'll try to get a picture of my space but this will really hurt my ego.

My playhouse isn't so much messy, as I feel disorganized. I am rethinking it at the moment.

I"m not understanding the Linky thing. Never heard of Mr. Linky. It's something I have to register for? What is the purpose of it? Anyway, I did post pictures on my blog so here's my link:

I know you said it was messy, but I think that room is BEAUTIFUL! I have neither sewing room nor knowledge to fill it, but OH do I desire to! (((((HUGS))))) sandi

Cathy, you visited my blog and posed the question: Why do we do this? I can't say I know why my art studio wo quickly turns into a disaster other than I just know I can't put things away while I'm creating and I'm often working on several projects at once. However, at one point, I had cleaned my studio and gone through every single item that I own. The place was spotless... and I was so completely frozen, creatively, that I couldn't do any art for weeks. As messy as it is now, it's hard for me to work. But it is equally hard if it is all clean. So, I keep trying to establish a functional mess, but it is difficult since the mess seems to multiply over night! Eeks!

Here's my mess, Cathy! We are spending this weekend moving DD to her new place, so I will have more free space soon!

Oh Cathy, I think your room is beautiful! That is the workroom of my dreams. I have a tiny little table in my bedroom and so my work takes me all over the house.

I dream of a little cottage outside our home where I can go and spend hours creating all the projects floating around in my mind! (Smile)

Thanks for sharing your room with us.

Have to agree that your room is great & shows you've been very busy creating things.

I have my sewing and paper crafting in one room so try to keep it tidy..ish else I'd never get anything done! lol
