Snow? Snow. Snowww!

Look at what we woke up to this morning--in October! Snow! And it's been snowing for at least the last hour quite steadily and hasn't slowed down. Now I love snow, but this is a tad early, (we usually get our first snow in November), however we are still enjoying it, especially after spending the last 3 years in Florida. This is a treat!

Our little red barn and 3 of the 4 ducks--they're loving it! I haven't asked the chickens yet how they feel about it.

The big blue spruce in the backyard. I should go plug in the Christmas lights!

What used to be the garden. As you can see it's not too deep yet, so we'll see where the day takes us. The temps are supposed to be in the high 30's. Hmm....that's not to warm sounding. In case you're wondering where this is at--well I'm in Southeast Idaho--part of the Inter Mountain West and boy won't the mountains be beautiful when we can see past the snow!

It's beautiful to see, but I'm glad it's where you are and not here!
It's a gorgeous 78ยบ as I write this.

Oh wow! For us it's been non-stop rain, but the snow level is pretty low here, I have been enjoying the view. It's certainly a colder than normal fall and I'm kind of expecting winter to be early this year. My cats seem to think so as they're coats are getting very thick and fluffy.

What beautiful photos - the one with the ducks looks like a Christmas card!

I'm jealous and your yard, and farm buildings are Christmas card picture perfect.

My body is in Northwest Tenn ( and it is OK for retirement) but my heart remains in Northern Ill on the Wisc border ---where we did get snow.

Except we don't have to shovel anymore and - - - - - -

Enjoy Carol

Oh Wow Cathy! It does look so pretty, especially with your red barn. It was cooler here...but not THAT cold! So, we decided to make your Baked Potato soup you posted earlier...and you'll have to go see what happened on my blog! It was delicious!

Oh Cathy...you're not in Florida anymore, are you? This is beautiful and looks like something on a card...you could put lights on that tree and print your own Christmas greetings! I've been away and enjoying an afternoon catching up. Thanks for making us Floridians "think cool"! Cassie
